28 January 1959 Afterburner

I found five new graphics in the 28 January Afterburner, all cartoons, so here you go. What a treasure trove, and we're really starting to see John Boyle's talent as an artist and humorist with his funny take on history (showing what kids of his generation must have been taught), as well as another (literal) character sketch. I have kept the images at full size so you can see everything in high detail -- click on each one to see them in all their black and white glory.
An AFPS piece by an unknown artist named "Johnson." This nice cartoon is encouraging education.
Another AFPS piece that's pretty funny. Once again by the talented Johnson.
We've already seen a couple of these "Rhymes of the Times" by someone named "Agen" in the previous posts. Boring, yes, but also instructive since they show how out of touch the military could be. Who could possibly have been this cartoon's audience?
A2/C John Boyle, the Afterburner's sports editor did this nice work poking fun at American history.
A cartoon character sketch of an apparently exceptional Yokota athlete. Boyle was definitely talented.
